The 9th international media forum brought together key players of the media business, representatives of the creative industries and those who are interested in the contemporary international and Ukrainian content industry.
The forum included a number of specialized thematic events related to Ukrainan film and television production, prospects for its development and distribution in international markets in the context of the trend of recent years – the global success of local non-English content. For the first time, the forum discussed the topics of artificial intelligence and machine learning. In addition, there were exclusive events dedicated to the use of blockchain technologies in the production and distribution of audiovisual products.
The list of star speakers of KMW 2019 included Dev Sen, a former NASA rocket scientist, and now co-founder of Cinelytic; Andrew Reid, Head of Production at Northern Ireland Screen; Ed Waller, editor-in-chief of C21 Media; digital media and blockchain consultant Manuel Badel; Virginia Mouseler, CEO of international research company The Wit; K7 Media's communications manager David Ciaramella.
