KMW Special and Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine present a discussion "European take: who's shaping new rules of the media business reality?"

September 14 | 16:10 – 17:00 (Kyiv time)
On September 15, KYIV MEDIA WEEK Special presents a panel discussion "European take: who's shaping new rules of the media business reality?", organized with the support of the EU.

The media sphere occurred to grow tremendously with the quarantine restrictions – media have become the core tools for social interaction and shaping the picture of the future on personal and global levels. Social media provide unprecedented opportunities for almost limitless public utterance and user-generated content expansion, which can compete with industrial media formats with its audience coverage and social impact. In this regard, media companies face challenges in finding innovative solutions to implement their content strategies. To discuss these subjects and to specifically highlight the European approach in overcoming these new challenges in the global media industry, the representatives of media companies from the EU are invited to join the panel.

The speakers of the session are: Jan Salling, Head of BBC Studios Nordic Format & Productions, CEO & Founder at Missing Link Media (Denmark), Gallagher Fenwick, Head of France 24 English (France), Andreas Weise, Head of Landesstudio Sachsen-Anhalt, ZDF (Germany). The section's moderator is Yevhen Hlibovytskyi, Long-term strategies expert, Supervisory board member of National Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine.

The day before, on September 14, KYIV MEDIA WEEK Global Marathon is taking place, with support by Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.
