KMW Special and USAID present panel discussion "Content that matters. Success stories and prospects of Ukrainian AV industry"

September 15 | 17:40 – 18:30
On September 15, KYIV MEDIA WEEK presents a panel discussion "Content that matters. Success stories and prospects of Ukrainian AV industry" supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Ukraine is only 29 years old. Its content industry can be compared to a teenager, who's using trial and error method to find a place in the sun. Most of the time, the production sector of the country was focused only on money-generating projects, or on ones that can bring quick fame and recognition to their creators. What about a really meaningful content?

We have been lucky to witness the recent growth of the Ukrainian TV and film market and so long-awaited understanding that socially important content can work as a commercial one and vice versa.

On September 15, the representatives of Ukrainian projects who were pioneers in this field will share their unique experience. Their courage was rewarded with measurable success in terms of public attention to the raised topics as well as high ratings and viewers' involvement: Olena Kanishevska, Director of "Ukraine" TV Channel Program Production Department (The Brave Squad TV series), Oleksiy Gladushevskyy, Creative Producer Starlight Originals Content (The First Swallows TV series, Novy Channel), Natalka Vorozhbyt, Screenwriter, (To Catch the Kaidash TV series, STB TV Channel), Roman Lukin, Сreative producer, TET channel (EuroPrinciple TV series). Moderator of the discussion is Vira Kostenko-Kuznetsova, Senior PDO Ukraine Confidence Building Initiative.

The day before, on September 14, KYIV MEDIA WEEK Global Marathon is taking place, with support by Ukrainian Cultural Foundation. The Forum will present exclusive analytical reviews of the world's largest markets from Asia to South America prepared by the leading international agencies: The WIT, K7 Media, C21 Media, Ampere Analysis, Prensario International, Glance; the latest research on the Ukrainian media market from Media Business Reports; panel discussions featuring representatives of top Ukrainian and international media companies; live streams with renowned experts from across the world; inspiration talks with industry headliners. Participation in both KMW events is free. More details available on the website: https://kyivmediaweek2020.com/.
